Personal Statement
I am a healthcare quality professional, nurse leader and health services scientist with over 15 years of experience driving quality improvement, evidence-based practice and operations to advance health outcomes for all. With a proven track record of securing federal and non-federal funding and publishing 60+ peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, I am deeply committed to dismantling barriers to high quality, safe and equitable healthcare through data-driven innovation and advocacy. As Executive Director of the Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity (IAHE), I helped to develop and lead one of the first health system-based institutes focused on ensuring consistency in high quality, safe outcomes for all patients through applied improvement science. IAHE sits within the Quality and Patient Safety Division of Sutter Health. I lead a multidisciplinary team that works to develop actionable insights and transformative methodologies that improve patient outcomes within our health system and nationwide.
