The ELEVATE-DP Study

Evaluation of a Lifestyle Intervention Adopted for Clinical Practice for Diabetes Prevention Study

Jan 2017 - Jan 2022

Evaluation of a Lifestyle Intervention Adopted for Clinical Practice for Diabetes Prevention Study (ELEVATE-DP)  was a five-year study (with a one year no-cost extension) funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under Award Number R18DK110739.  I served as Co-Principal Investigator along with Dr. Rob Romanelli.

The goal of the study was to examine the implementation and effectiveness of a behavioral lifestyle intervention for weight loss and diabetes prevention in a healthcare delivery system. We published our findings in 9 peer-reviewed papers in addition to dissemination via ten conferences, producing ten academic posters in addition to oral presentations.
